What’s more, people with parenting responsibilities would be disadvantaged, because they are neither able nor willing to work long hours.
    To employers, long working hours would lead to not only the lower quality of work output but also the high turnover of staff and absenteeism.

There are directives preventing workers from being forced to work for long hours, because it will lead to enormous job stress, fewer job openings and low working efficiency. But some people who are in opposition to restricting working hours point out that overtime working can increase employees’ income as well as their chances for advancement.
    As to me, I am in support of the limitation on working long hours. In the first place, working long hours will reduce employees’ leisure time and communication with others. As a result, it would be hard for them to maintain and improve their relations with family members and friends, which is detrimental to their life. Moreover, people are more liable to get fatigued and sick because of the extension of working time, which is a threat to their health. In addition, the results of working long hours are the chronic stress and consequent psychological problems.
    In brief, there might be some exemptions, but the restriction should be applied to the majority of workers. And people should learn to love themselves, arrange their time wisely and have a proper rest, so that they can perform well at work.
