   Another advantage of becoming parents late is financial security, which is deemed to exert positive influence on child raising. In terms of reproduction, more and more women are concentrating their efforts on their own career and development so that they can invest more in their children.

   If women decide to have their babies late in life, they may have to face some pregnancy problems such as low fertility, higher risk of diseases and genetic disorder. As fertility declines with age, delaying pregnancy also means that many couples may experience this difficulty.

答案    My View on Late Childbirth
   In today’s society, many young couples tend to delay having their babies, so that they can get well prepared, both emotionally and financially. However, late childbirth is discouraged by many people due to its bad effects on individuals, families and even the society. For instance, older couples may not only suffer from infertility when they intend to have a child but also face severe self-supporting problems after retirement. Meanwhile, the decrease in population will result in a labor shortage.
   From my perspective, couples can choose to have kids either at an early age or late in life, as long as they are ready for this big switch. On the one hand, children do require lots of parental care. Couples should be well prepared to settle down and focus their attention on the enjoyment of being parents. On the other hand, in addition to the necessary living and educational expenses, most parents nowadays pay for promoting the intellectual development of their children. Without adequate savings, many families may experience the hardship of economic insecurity.
   To sum up, currently two different trends of childbearing have appeared, both of which have everlasting impact on social development and children’s growth.
