答案     Founded by Confucius, one of China’s greatest philosophers, Confucianism dominated the feudal society for more than two millennia. However, in modern times, its position becomes disputable.
    On the one hand, some people believe that Confucianism is out of date as some of the ideas are negative in today’s society. For example, instead of promoting equality, it emphasizes people should be aware of their identities and ranks in the society and obey their superiors unconditionally. On the other hand, some others hold the opinion that Confucianism’s position as the cornerstone of Chinese culture is unshakable. For one thing, Chinese people are influenced by Confucianism in their daily life whether they realize it or not. It has penetrated in their living environment and their style of doing things. For another, many virtues valued and promoted by Chinese people nowadays originate from Confucianism. Just as the virtues will never be out of date, Confucianism outlasts time.
    As for me, Confucianism is such a complicated system that there is no definite answer. The positive attitude is to reform the part that conflicts with the current society, and stick to the other part that guides people to be better and the society to be more harmonious.
