    "Better late than never" is an ancient proverb with a deep meaning, which properly applies to air pollution issues of Beijing.
    Smoggy Beijing has attracted a world-wide attention recently. According to a news report about Beijing’s air quality, more than fifteen days in October of 2013 were badly smoggy. The health of people in Beijing has been impacted either directly or indirectly. It’s hard to imagine that fresh air nowadays becomes a rare resource. It’s never too late to protect and improve the environment where we live. We feel a little relieved for we have begun to take actions against air pollution. The Beijing Municipal has formulated and issued an odd-even car ban requiring alternate driving days for cars with even- and odd-numbered license plates in case of lingering smog.
    There is no one single solution that can solve the problem once and for all. It’s never too late for us to immediately fight against the air pollution through a combination of imperative requirements and public environmental promotion.
