    There are many factors that can contribute to a person’s success in his life. Whether he is at school or at work, a person is more likely to succeed if he is honest, diligent, and responsible. But of all the possible characteristics that can affect one’s success, I believe self-confidence to be the most important one for the following reasons.
    The first reason is that when a person has self-confidence it gives him the courage to try new things. Another reason is that a confident person rarely gives up when he is confronted with difficulties. Finally, confident people are not afraid to show off their achievements. That does not mean that they should brag, but that they can accept the compliments of others gracefully and confidently. When their achievements are more recognized by others, they are likely to gain greater success.
    In short. I believe self-confidence to be the most important factor in success. It enables people to take risks, try again when they fail, and enjoy their accomplishments when they win. With these abilities, a confident person can get more chances to achieve success. Thus we should try our best to build up self-confidence.
