    As the old Chinese saying goes, "To err is human." In our whole long life, nobody can avoid making mistakes. However, should people who make mistakes be punished forever? The answer is surely negative. Everyone deserves a second chance after having made a mistake. A person who is not tolerant is unfit to be tolerant of others. Therefore, what we should learn is to be tolerant, because tolerance can bring many benefits to us.
    First, tolerance can avoid unnecessary misunderstandings. As different people have different opinions, sometimes we may encounter some unhappy matters or even unacceptable behavior in our social interaction. If we can stand in other people’s point of view, we can avoid unnecessary misunderstandings. Second, tolerance can make us happy. If we always keep others’ misconduct in our mind, we may feel angry. But if we show our tolerance, happiness will come to us gradually.
    By all accounts, tolerance is an important facet of social intercourse. Once one strives to understand the behavior and perspective of others, one can avoid much trouble and conflict, thus making life more peaceful.
