                     Using Electronic Dictionaries

答案     As the enthusiasm of learning English continues to grow, an increasing number of students are fond of using electronic dictionaries instead of the traditional printed ones. Convenience is one possible reason and other important reasons may involve the large capacity and versatile functions of electronic dictionaries.
    However, constant use of electronic dictionaries may bang about negative effects. First, while an electronic dictionary has a satisfactory capacity, explanations in it are often too simple, which may, in some sense, lead to confusion and misunderstanding. Another negative effect is a lazy attitude towards language learning from too much dependence on electronic dictionaries. Teachers often complain that fewer and fewer students can enjoy the happiness which lies in the bitterness of consulting a big traditional dictionary for the details of a word.
    My suggestion is that an English learner should have a good and comprehensive traditional dictionary at hand and treat the electronic dictionary as a supplement, Also, students are recommended to buy a high-quality and multi-functional electronic dictionary if they can afford.
