Dear Sirs,
    I have learned from an advertisement that your university will offer a three-month Advanced English Program for foreign students from June to September. I would like to inquire into the possibility of my being enrolled in such a course.
    At present, I am a senior student at the Department of Civil Engineering, Tsingbua University. When I graduate next year, I will be working for the Head Office of China Construction Cooperation, dealing with projects abroad. My prospective employer suggests that I take an additional course to improve my proficiency in spoken and written English. My knowledge of English is adequate for me to survive the period of training in your country, for I have passed the College English Test Band Six (CET-6), which is sponsored by China Education Committee.
    I should be grateful if you could give me an early reply.
