    When asked about whether people should be allowed to explode firecrackers in cities, different people will offer different opinions. Some people think that setting off firecrackers should be banned in cities. They hold this idea because every year, there are many reports on accidents due to the explosion of firecrackers or fireworks.
    However some people argue that exploding firecrackers or fireworks is one of our traditions. Besides, exploding fireworks adds to festive atmosphere and indicates our prosperity.
    Personally, I am on the side of the former argument. For one thing, it is not safe to set off firecrackers in densely populated cities. Accidents from exploding fireworks hurt people’s eyes and some even cause death.  For another,  exploding firecrackers or fireworks results in serious pollution. What’s more, it is a great waste of money.
    In a word, I maintain that exploding firecrackers or fireworks should be banned in cities.
