In a genetic(遗传学)analysis【C4】_____more than 75, 000 people, an international group of scientists led by Ruth Loos at the Medical Research Council in the U. K. found that lean people with a【C5】_____genetic【C6】_____were at higher【C7】_____of developing type 2 diabetes and heart disease【C8】_____their lower body fat.
The key, say the scientists, is to【C9】_____not just the amount of fat, but the【C10】_____of fat that you might have. A growing body of evidence shows that fat【C11】_____just under the skin doesn’t contribute that much【C12】_____the development of metabolic disorders such as diabetes or heart problems. But fat【C13】_____in deeper tissues and organs, within muscle and【C14】_____in organs like the liver, for example, can put you at greater risk of these diseases. And that goes【C15】_____lean people too: they might not have much【C16】_____fat under the skin, but may be sequestering(隔绝,隔离)so-called visceral(内脏的)fat inside their body.
