    The proverb "No pains, no gains." has long been familiar to most of us. The message it conveys is that we are supposed to make strenuous efforts whenever we attempt to succeed in a certain field.
    Let’s take English learning as an example. If we want to improve our English listening ability, we are required to keep on listening to different materials, both intensively and extensively, and make notes on them from time to time.
    Another good case in point is acrobatics. All of us feel excited when acrobats win grand prizes in international competitions, but who knows how many hardships they have endured? Nobody is born a good acrobat, and one can only become a skilled acrobat after countless failures.
    Judging from the examples given above, we may safely come to the conclusion that no pains, no gains. So why not stop idling about but try our best to learn our majors well? I am convinced that we will gradually become experienced and skillful as long as we do not give up and keep making efforts.
