    As is shown in the picture, a graduate is standing on tiptoe on a pile of books, trying to pick the fruits named "high salary". This reflects a common phenomenon in China—in the highly competitive society, more and more people join in the army of exams for Master or Doctor Degree, expecting a high-salary job and a brilliant future.
    With China’s ever-expanding enrollment in institutions of higher education, most graduates are now faced with a tight job market. Although once regarded as the social elite, today’s university students are losing ground as the number of graduates far exceeds the market demand. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate has been steadily rising. As a result, many students burn the midnight oil, making preparations for the entrance exams for Master or Doctor Degree which is thought to be an open sesame to a well-paid job.
    In fact, getting a Master or Doctor Degree is not a skeleton key to secure a well-paid job and the rush for further study is blind in many cases. In my view, it is better to pursue further study when we have some work experience, enabling us to be aware of our interest and strengths. Only in this way will further study be more target-oriented and bring us what we want.
