    As the (anions saying goes, "Great works are performed not by strength, but by perseverance." Perseverance is one of the essential qualities that enable people to make great achievements.
    Many famous people in history had attributed their breakthroughs to perseverance. For instance, American author Helen Keller lost her sight and hearing after contracting an illness when she was only two-years old, but her perseverance ultimately made her one of America’s greatest writers. To give another example, Beethoven also lost his hearing. Nevertheless, he never gave up, and continued to compose music. His perseverance was finally rewarded with many admired works.
    As college students, we should learn to cultivate perseverance as it is a positive attitude towards life which is of great benefit to our future development. We should always keep in our minds that strength is the king of the body but perseverance rules human souls.
