    As the proverb goes, variety is the spice of life. Some people may be in favor of it while others may be not. In my opinion, we should not simply label it as right or wrong, but explore it in depth.
    The proverb is especially true in the following aspects. First, variety, which means more changes and experiences, brings us new feelings and ideas which are vital for us to understand the essence of life. Second, conscious changes can make us more creative and energetic. For these reasons, most people enjoy a colorful life instead of a monotonous one. Nevertheless, the proverb does not hold true in certain aspects. Many things, in my belief, should be kept unchanged no matter how fast time flies. For instance, we should persist in our dreams if we want to turn them into reality. And we should always be loyal to our parents, partners, and friends.
    In a nutshell, in most cases it is safe to say that variety is the spice of life, but in some circumstances, staying unchanged seems to be a better choice.
