    The proverb "No pain, no gain" has long been familiar to most of us. The message it conveys is that we are supposed to make strenuous efforts whenever we want to succeed in a certain field.
    Let’s take English learning as an example. If we want to improve our English listening ability, we must keep on listening to English materials, both intensively and extensively, and make notes from time to time. Another case in point is acrobatics. All of us feel excited when acrobats win grand prizes in international competitions, but do you know the hardships they have suffered? Nobody was born a good acrobat, and one can only become a skilled acrobat after countless failures and attempts.
    Judging from the examples given above, we may safely come to the conclusion that no pain, no gain. So why not stop idling about and try our best to learn our majors well? I am convinced that we will gradually become experienced and skillful as long as we keep making efforts.
