Tourism is booming in these impoverished regions and brings in considerable amount of income for the locals. Policy is also another important driving force. In recent years, the government has been carrying out regulations and laws to promote tertiary industry and also investing in the infrastructure of tourist spots, such as renovating restrooms and entertainment facilities.
