答案     Since the 1990s the advance of computer technology and the increasing popularity of the Internet have brought about profound changes to our world, such as online shopping. Online shopping has greatly changed our life style and many people are concerned this is a negative development, because the peace of their life has broken. For instance, many owners of tangible stores have to find a new job when their business goes bankrupt because of the impact of online shopping. However, I think the benefits of online shopping surely outweigh the drawbacks and it is a positive development.
    When some people claim that online shopping steals their jobs, they do not see it also creates new jobs. For example, the number of people who work in logistics keeps rising, so the owners of the stores can work as a courier. Perhaps their income decreases from a businessman to an expressman, but the money should be enough to feed their family if they work hard. Also, they can move their offline stores to online. Through online business they can actually reach much more customers. Plus through their years of experience running a business, it is possible for them to have better business and make more money than managing a store which covers a comparatively small area.
    The most benefits are for consumers. First, consumers have more choices when they shop online. For example, when the consumer goes shopping in a hypermarket, the goods a hypermarket can provide is limited, no matter how big the hypermarket is. However, they can visit hundreds of shops which cover a far wider range of goods with just a click on the mouse. The goods are delivered to their front door often the next day. What is more, the price of goods in the stores is usually higher than online shops and consumers have to travel to the stores. In comparison, the cost of money and time when shopping online is lower.
    In conclusion, online shopping not only provides more choices, convenience and lower prices to consumers, but also creates new jobs, so it is a positive development.
