The Navy Admiral William Fallon said the US miscalculated the war and that time

The man packed to serve as the top US commander in the Middle East faced an equally tough challenge today in Washington. Navy Admiral William Fallon appeared before the Senate Armed Services Committee and spoke bluntly about the challenges plaguing the region particularly the war in Iraq. Fallon told committee members that the US miscalculated the war and that time is running out.

A federal court in Atlanta has reinstated murder conspiracy charges against terror suspect Jose Padilla.The charge of conspiracy to murder, kidnap and maim people overseas is the most serious one (accused) against the accused al-Qaeda operative. It carries a potential life sentence. A judge threw out the charge last year saying it duplicated other counts. It was reinstated following an appeal by federal prosecutors.
