Dozens of valuable paintings and frescoes were badly damaged when rainwater poured through a roof at the state museum. As freak rainstorms lashed in the central and southern sections of the state, part of the museum’s roof which was scheduled to be repaired collapsed and water cascaded into two storerooms.
