But the fact is that most college students, who themselves have not been financially independent from their parents, are far from fully prepared to provide for their spouses, not to mention their children. Second, an early marriage during college life is not always a wise one, because the one you love in college may not be your suitable "better half" in marriage. College students, though mostly adults, are actually immature psychologically. Their wishes to get married are, more often than not, impulses. However, a durable happy union should be based on a true sense of "appreciation" and mutual understanding after the fever of campus love cools down. Third, in view of what is said above, it’s difficult for college students to afford the marital "responsibility" , and thus "reliability" of marriage is out of the question.
