答案                         Technique or Mental strength?
     To be an Olympic champion must be the dream of every professional athlete. After a long time of great efforts, some succeed while others fail. In my opinion, to win a gold medal in Olympic games, mental strength is more important than technique.
     First, all athletes are human beings. Generally speaking, the physical strength of every normal human being is not diverse greatly, except that of patients, children and elders. So the techniques of competition which are mastered by the athletes are almost the same, especially after everyone has been trained for a long time. Secondly, one’s mental strength is difficult to get by training. Or we can say, it’s not easy to improve one’s mental strength with some exercises. This is a kind of thing which is somewhat innate. So it is not strange why there’re always old hands failing in the game while green hands succeeding out of the public’s expectation. Just because the former are under greater stress. When they don’t have enough metal strength to deal with the stress, they certainly will lose the game, no matter how skillful they are.
     So people should pay more attention to mental strength in selecting athletes as well as in training them.
