    Weddings seem stressful, riddled with anxiety. There are so many minuscule components to a wedding that many people need to hire a wedding planner to help take care of them. That, in itself, seems a bit ostentatious. A wedding should not be the climax of a marriage; it is only the beginning of one.
    Even as a child, I never dreamt of a huge wedding or marrying the world’s most perfect man. Maybe I was too much of a realist, but I doubt that. I’m sure that even then pretension eluded me. I did however, dream of love and that there are people who can remain true to each other until the end of time. For that, I am sure I am not a realist. I still believe in a bond between two people that is so strong it may be impossible to break. Posh weddings do not create that bond, however. An extravagant wedding seems a premise for failure.
