    I am terribly sorry for not being able to hand in my term paper on time. I feel bad about it and want you to know what happened.
    I have joined the school-organized field practice program in Guangzhou during the summer holiday. As you may already know, Guangzhou is far away from here: meanwhile, the program has lasted many days, so 1 must spend a lot of time on this activity for transportation. As a result, 1 have had not enough time to complete the term paper on time.
    I have realized that it is my fault, so 1 will put everything else aside in order to finish my term paper as soon as I can so that I can hand it in as early as possible.
