    In response to your advertisement in the Job Market on 1 January 2003, I am writing to apply for the position of consultant in the Business Consulting Division.
    I am a Business Administration student of the University of Hong Kong, and will be graduating in summer 2003. After graduation, I would like to apply my knowledge of business management and gain some practical experience. My career objective is to become a consultant for investment banking.
    My experience in extra-curricular activities has allowed me to develop my leadership and interpersonal skills. I have been involved with AIESEC(the International Association of Students in Economics and Business Management) since 1999. I was the president of the International Trainee Marketing Tour, leading a team of ten committee members in organizing and coordinating 41 overseas delegates who came from the United States, Canada, Germany, Japan and Taiwan.
    I am personally very interested in the China sector, which your company plans to expand. In the final year of my study, I am taking courses in China Marketing and China Trade. For my class project, I did an analysis of the financing structures and obstacles that had to be overcome in ABC Corporation’s joint venture in Shanghai. With the knowledge I gained from my university studies and my ability to endure tough and new environments, tackling the China market for Big Accounting Firm Inc is a task that I find challenging and exciting. I am most willing to travel or be stationed in China.
