     It is no longer surprising now to see so many students go abroad for studies, and they have very good reasons for doing so. If they attend a university in a foreign country, they can learn the language there more efficiently and understand the culture better. More importantly, their experience overseas and the degrees they get there may put them in an advantageous position in job competition when they are back in China.
     Nevertheless, there is no denying that there exist some disadvantages as well. First of all, it costs far more money. For the same degree study, the tuition fee in a foreign university would be around seven times the amount needed in a domestic university. And also, there is the feeling of loneliness. Their parents and friends are all far away from them and they can hardly find familiar people to talk to. Besides, they may suffer from "culture shock" when they come across the new culture in the foreign country and have difficulty in adjusting themselves to it.
     In short, as every coin has two sides, so does studying abroad. If they can make good use of the advantages and are fully aware of the disadvantages, they may benefit a lot from the experience of studying abroad.
