    It can be seen from the graph that there are more and more students attending the postgraduate entrance examination year by year. Meanwhile, the admittance rate is also rising.
    What are the reasons and the possible consequences? On the one hand, there are three reasons for this. First, the job market becomes more and more competitive. As a result, most people want to find or exchange for a better job by obtaining a high degree. Second, most college students want to pursue their study after their graduation from the undergraduate. Third, with the development the science and technology, what has been learned at college is not enough to meet the need of the society. On the other hand, there are some possible consequences of this. For one thing, most people will be forced to pay more attention to the examination than to the improvement of their true ability. For another, it will have a negative effect not only on the individual but also on the society.
    In my opinion, high degree doesn’t necessarily mean great ability. It is important for us to pay more attention to the improvement of our abilities than to the examinations.
