    Many intangible cultural heritages in China are on the verge of extinction due to the lack of attention. While different people have different views on protection of intangible cultural heritages. Some people think that we should do our best to preserve non-material cultural heritages, whereas others argue that it is unnecessary.
    As far as I am concerned, I agree with the opinion that we should try our best to protect intangible cultural heritages. For one thing, non-material cultural heritages are an important symbol of a nation’ s development. For another, it is an effective way to understand and do research on ancient civilizations. What’ s more, intangible cultural heritages link modern people to the past history, allowing them to find out their cultural and historical identities. If there are no cultural heritages left in our country, we would become absolutely rootless and find it is difficult to face the challenges now and in the future.
    Taking all these factors into consideration, we may come to the conclusion that we should make the greatest efforts to preserve the intangible cultural heritage.
