   There is a famous saying, "Too much water drowned the miller. " It means things will develop in the opposite direction when they become extreme.
   A good case in point is excessive use of the Internet. It’s hard to deny the positive changes that the Internet adds to people’s lives. However, like pollution and traffic jams coming with the convenience of cars, the access to the Internet has been so popular that it has given rise to a new kind of social epidemic, the Internet addiction. There are many stories of excellent students who lost their university scholarships, or of other students who failed at the university altogether simply because they spent too much time online.
   When it comes to the parents’ love to children, it is also the case. Many parents show too much love to their children, do almost everything for them to wipe away the difficulties, and forgive or even ignore the kids’ faults easily. Yet, when the spoiled children grow up, many of them greatly disappoint their parents. Some of them even commit crimes.
   In short, anything too much is no good.
