    As is known to all, every man has to strive for a decent life by working hard. Nevertheless, the life of a lazy man is of no use to either himself or others. What’s worse, the man who is too lazy to work is more likely to beg or steal. Therefore, everyone should be diligent regardless of age, gender and family background.
    From my point of view, diligence is of great significance in one’s life and career. There are some reasons as follows. Firstly, industrious spirit is an indispensable quality that makes a person stand out, as most people are biologically endowed with similar level of IQs, except that only a few are very outstanding or low. Secondly, diligence makes for accomplishments while laziness always results in failure. An idle man indulging himself in the comfort zone is doomed to achieve nothing. Lastly, diligence helps remove ignorance, overcome difficulties and enlighten mind, which are the major premises of success.
    In a word, I hold the view that diligence is crucial to one’s life. A person must study hard when he is young so that he may make great progress and succeed in life. Therefore, we say that diligence is the vital ingredient for one’s growth.
