    With the development of electronic technology, computers are more widely used in our daily life. People use them to study, to relax, to communicate and al so to earn money. As a result, some people begin to think that computers will take the place of teachers in schools one day. I do not agree with them. The reasons are as follows.
    To begin with, teachers furnish us not only with knowledge but also with experience about what and how to learn and how to behave in society, which can not be taught by computers, because they are programbased machines. Teaching consists of various aspects and the teacher’s role is also diversified. Knowledge is just one of the most important things that should be taught in classes, while morality and affect in learning should be paid special attention to, and then students can learn to be true people but not a machine. In addition, humanistic teaching can improve the relationship among people. Students can communicate with each other face to face in class via discussions, lectures, etc. , which offers them a lot of chances to show themselves before audience and improve both their knowledge and relationship. While computerbased teaching can just give us words, sounds mad pictures through cold interfaces, which will do harm to studenis’ growth.
    Thus, humanistic teaching will not be replaced by computerbased teaching. Computers can only enhance teaching standards and the quality of education while the teacher is still and will always be one pole of classroom teaching.
