[5]Personally, I think the preservation of ancient houses is of great importance to our modem lives. [6]First and foremost, [7]the old buildings should be cherished  [8]because they embody the Chinese architectural culture, [9]and they are the treasures of the world at large. [10]Moreover, these ancient buildings may be attractive scenic spots for foreigners. Therefore, [11]it would be better if you conduct careful evaluation of the buildings be- forehand in order to avoid unplanned demolition.
