    Every September when the freshmen enroll, almost every college would arrange Military Training for them as a tradition, which would last a whole month. However, such a practice has now caused much controversy, which deserves our attention.
    According to the positions they take, people could virtually be divided into two distinctly different branches. There are supporters of Military Training who hold that it will improve students’ physical fitness, which is the foundation of everything we do. They also believe that Military Training will increase students’ willpower, cultivate their independence and develop their sense of time. On the opposite, there are opponents who consider Military Training as nothing but a waste of time. Deeming study as the priority of a student, the opponents tend to view Military Training worthless and unfavorable.
    It seems to me that Military Training is an indispensable part of college education. Besides the advantages mentioned above, it can educate us on the importance of team spirit and cooperation as well, which plays a vital role in all walks of life.
