答案
Never Underestimate the Benefit of Liberal Arts Education
As is illustrated in the picture, the man applying for a job complained to the woman that graduating from a liberal arts college means jobless. Seemingly funny, it informs us of the phenomenon that many people may worry about the employment rate of liberal arts students. However, I believe liberal arts education is beneficial for our life and job hunting in the long run.
Firstly, liberal arts education is not intended to train you for a specific job, but provides you with the ability to think for yourself, the skills to communicate effectively and the capacity for lifelong learning which are highly valued by employers. The world is changing rapidly and it would be dangerous if you prepare yourself to fit a certain slot that may vanish soon. Secondly, studying in liberal arts may provide the certain skills that you will apply to the job. For instance, some people will be able to excel in today’s global business thanks to the foreign language skills developed in their liberal arts education.
Therefore, we should not underestimate liberal arts education which benefits both our life and our job hunting.
