Good morning. As president of Alexis Publishing it is my duty to bring you the following: there has been rumors of a possible merger with our main competitor. These rumors are true and as of this past Saturday, Trade Publishing Inc. has taken over Alexis Publishing. I understand that many of you are concerned but be assured there will be no layoffs. However, there will be a restructuring of departments and you will all be given detailed information by the end of the day. To reaffirm confidence between employer and employees, those who have been with the company for more than one year will receive a raise as well as those who successfully complete their one-year probationary period.
