答案     I went to Taipei, Taiwan last autumn and took part in one of its most famous festivals, Taiwan Lantern Festival.
    This is an annual festival that takes place on the fifteenth day of the first month in the lunar calendar. This festival used to be celebrated in Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Park in Taipei, but through the years, it’s already become a widely celebrated festival in Taiwan as well as in the whole nation. The main purpose of having this festival at the first place was to promote the traditional folk culture all over country, but now it’s become a major festival that people willingly participate in and enjoy.
    During the festival, people gather together under the sky, and then congratulate each other before they light thousands of sky lanterns and release them to the sky. Legend has it that this can ward off the evil spirits and diseases from the town, and so bring peace to the town. People also write their wishes on the lanterns in the hope that their wishes may come true. There’re images related to the lantern owner as well.
    My family and I particularly reveled in celebrating this festival. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we did at that time. We watched our lanterns flying to the sky and took a deep breath to relax ourselves. We were all quite excited to see the vast area of the sky covered with hundreds of lanterns. People were all around us and we felt like somehow we’d come to a fairy land. I forgot my daily routine and felt the happiness that I hadn’t had for a long time.
