So, we’ve been discussing the population control and the disadvantages brought about by overpopulation. As we know, at the beginning of last century there lived in the world 2 billion people. But...um...the number has sharply risen to 5...or...6 billion, and it is still increasing by the number of 900 million each year. If the world-population continues to increase, it has been predicted that the number of the population will have risen to 10 billion by the end of the year 2050. Such a great number of people have become a threat to both the balance of nature and... uh... the development of society.
