    The first reason comes from psychological comparisons. In many college students’ eyes, fashion is a symbol of taste. And in modern society, famous brands to some extent are equal to fashion, which has a great attraction to young college students. Quite a few students overly pursue fashion and brands, since they expect others to admire them for their fashionable lifestyle and good taste. And the pursuit of high-end mobile phones is not an exception. Moreover, seeing their classmates are equipped with modern electronic products, they will follow the trend to buy for fear of being left behind.
    Secondly, parents’ doting care and abundant material supplies encourage their bad consumption habit. Parents’ competition with each other in trying to provide the best living conditions for their children should also be blamed.
