We learn from the passage that [br]
Most Americans think the quality of life for young people under 30 years are not as good as their baby boom born parents_when they are in the same period, according to a new nationwide poll of 1,167 young people. More than 60 percent of the young_ are pessimistic about the future, and many of them say they would rather go back to the past than leap to the future. " Although the past may seem appealing for young Americans, only 50 percent of seniors over 65 said they wanted to travel back in time. " says Michael Hogan, an executive editor of Vanity Fair which conducts the survey with CBS News.(12)He adds that; "this is a time of high unemployment, people come out of school with very few job prospects. But the past seems more comfortable. " It’s interesting how strongly the young feel things are getting worse, and how strongly the young are backward looking. "(13)In the poll the young are given a choice to take anything with them to the afterlife, the result shows that 25 percent of them will take a pet, 47 percent of them will choose a photo album and 9 percent want to take an iPhone or a Blackberry.
