     I would like to apply for the job of summer salesperson, which you advertised in today’ s Dally Mall. I have just graduated from Catskill High School with good grades in English and History. I was editor of the school newspaper. I read a lot in my spare time and last summer I even worked in the Main Street bookstore in my grandparents’ home town of Putney, Vermont.
