What was John Lennon’s profession? [br]
John Lennon was one of Britain’s most famous musicians and he belonged to one of the world’s most famous pop groups, the Beatles. Although he was born in Liverpool in the north of England, he moved to live in New York in America, not only because he preferred the life there, but also because he wanted to spend less tax on his enormous income. One evening, in the Christmas of 1980, he was returning from the recording studios where he had been making a new record. He was driven to his apartment in a large house in New York. He got out of his car, but just as he was walking to the entrance, a voice called: "Mr. Lennon! " John Lennon turned about and was shot 5 times. The killer threw his gun down and stood there smiling; Lennon was rushed to hospital in a police car. But it was too late. The killer was 25-year-old Mark Chaplin from Hawaii. The world was shocked to hear the news of Lennon’s death, for he had produced the music to which many people had danced, worked and talked during their teenage days.
选项
