答案     The Internet is so far one of the greatest inventions of all time. For one thing, it is basically a globally accessible repository of knowledge, and anyone can get the latest news with a click of the mouse. For another, as a major channel for communication, the Internet dissolves traditional barriers to communication, including time, physical distance, and cost. It brings people together by creating a climate of openness and sharing. Last, it also contributes to learning. There are many educational games and websites people can browse around and learn from in a much more effective way.
    However, some have suspected that the arrival of the Internet has done more harm than good. To begin with, the online information may not be reliable and accurate. Thus there is a risk for people to be misguided. Furthermore, your personal information online can be used without your consent, which will lead us to serious trouble. Finally, some spend more than the fair amount of time on the Internet, which not only causes obesity but also affects people’s social interactions.
    Despite these facts, the Internet has been a major source of information, and we should use it wisely and discreetly. I personally think the benefits outweigh the harm and the Internet will bring more dramatic changes to our lives.
