答案     It is a typical phenomenon in China that elder members live with their offsprings in order to be taken care of. It is also a virtue passed on and on in China to be filial to one’s own parents. However, due to the severe aging situation of China’s population and the busy working pattern, people have less time to care for their own parents who are, then, sometimes left uncared and alone.
    Actually, one way to relieve the status quo, I think, is to advocate the lifestyle adopted by Western seniors. They seldom live with their children, nearly every one of them still get a pay through easy work to support himself or herself. With various hobbies and interests, they always have a wonderful later life. Although Chinese old people could accept this kind of life and they may love it with respect to some perspectives, it cannot be realized since realities cannot catch up with the ideal. Some of them cannot adapt themselves to the new lifestyle: there are not enough and suitable jobs for them in society: the pension still cannot reach to every senior citizen.
    In a word, it needs the joint efforts of Chinese government and every member of a family to create a better life for the elders.
