    The build-up to the publication of the July issue of the magazine looks like being a very busy time and, before I go away for my vacation, I want to set out clearly everything that needs to be done over the next few weeks. The main issues that need your personal attention are: doing the interview with Mr. Smith and getting at least three more feature articles commissioned.
Interview with Mr. Smith
    Mr. Smith is playing his New York concert on June 16, and his friends said that he would be available for interview either on that day or the day after. Mr. Smith’s interview is going to be our cover story next month, so make sure it should be your top priority.
Commissioning feature articles
    I have already commissioned two features for the July issue, but we need at least another three. Jerry has one or two ideas so you might want to call him first.
    You have my number, but please don’t contact me unless it’s really urgent. Everything needs to be finished by June 30.
