What is more, many people think that being thrifty is already out of date in modern society. As a result, thrift has already been excluded from people’s mind.
From my point of view, thrift is still a good virtue. In the first place, the natural resources are limited and the unprecedented power of production doesn’t mean that we are entitled to a life of extravagance. Furthermore, waste may lead to degradation of social atmosphere and environmental pollution as well. Hence, it is no doubt that we should never discard the virtue of being thrifty.
