    Behind every great achievement in anyone’s life is perseverance, which can be seen in every human’s endeavor. For example, outstanding sportsmen spend all their time training. Their endurance is beyond imagination. The same is true of businessmen who build up fortunes. Of the countless examples, the following one will manifest the importance of perseverance. Colonel Saunders, a 65-year-old man from Kentucky, had a dream of starting a chain of fried chicken restaurants all over the world. To realize his dream, he knew that a restaurant owner was needed to be his partner. Colonel Saunders had knocked on 1,009 doors before he finally found his partner.
    Therefore, I believe that perseverance is the most important characteristic of successful people. Success comes to someone who keeps working perseveringly, while lack of perseverance can only result in frustration and failure.
