    In the contemporary society, (1) it is not surprising to see celebrities appear in various advertisements to work as spokesmen for the products. Manufactures all believe that with the fame of celebrities, their products may get more attention and sell better. However, there are still some undeniable problems with this practice.
    To begin with，many stars (2) are not concerned about the quality or function of the products they represent. They just tell consumers the information provided by the manufacturers, so there is aposs obility that consumers are misled. Even worse, (3) for the sake of money, some celebrities even advertise for fake commodities. if the fake commodities are publicized, the public image of stars involved will certainly be affected. Last but not least, the high expense used in inviting celebrities to represent products must be got back from the consumers by promoting the prices of products.
    As far as I am concerned, measures must be taken to (4) eliminate the demerits. Firstly, laws should be worked out to regulate celebrities’ representing products. Secondly, stars should be required to be responsible for the information they (5) convey to the public. Only in this way can consumers’ benefit be really safeguarded.
