    However, students have different ideas about it. Some are in favor of the system. They are. sure that they are the very people who have their opinion on their teachers’ effectiveness, since they attend the teachers’ classes every day. Others, on the contrary, are strongly against it. They hold the view that there is much more to teaching than what is shown on students’ rating forms. They don’t think all the students are fair enough while grading the teachers.
    I think students’ rating of their teachers is necessary, but it should be conducted in a right way that can really cast meaningful light on teachers’ performance. Students should rate the teachers on a fair basis rather than on a bias just because the teachers have ever criticized them. Students’ proper rating of the teachers can motivate the teachers to teach more effectively.
