    It is well-known that computers play an increasingly important role in classroom instruction with the development of science and technology. But can traditional classroom instruction be replaced by computer-assisted instruction? In my opinion, the answer should be "No". For one thing, there are several disadvantages of computer-assisted instruction. Firstly, students may get bored with the content shown on the screen if they stare at it for a long time. Secondly, since the teaching pace is fast in computer-assisted instruction, some students may find it difficult to keep up with the progress of teaching. Thirdly , the computer system can not be guaranteed to function properly all the time.
    For another, many examples can be found to prove the effectiveness of traditional instruction. Take the emergency of power-off for example , students can continue to learn by using a traditional teaching method. Furthermore , interaction between teacher and student in a traditional classroom helps motivate students to learn.
    In conclusion, despite the fact that computer-assisted instruction is an effective complement to the traditional instruction, the benefits of traditional instruction outweigh those of computer-assisted instruction.
