M: That’s right. I’m going home for summer.
W: That sounds great! What are your plans?
M: Probably a week relaxing, going camping, and then I’m going back to work. I teach as an English teacher in New Zealand.
W: Oh, OK. And that’s where you’re from, naturally. Well, you are going to have this short little break, or vacation. Are you going to the beach or the mountains?
M: Probably to the beach and camping for about a week with friends.
W: Actually, how hot is it in the summer?
M: Probably a maximum of about 30 degrees. A nice dry heat! Very comfortable.
W: So when you go to the beach, is the water warm enough to swim in?
M: No, no, no! We swim but it is not warm. It’s pretty chilly actually.
W: OK. Any other plans when you go home?
M: Yeah, I’m looking forward to catching up with friends and family and animals.
W: I have never heard that you keep pets!
M: Actually I do and you can hardly imagine how I miss my pets.
W: Well, what pets do you have?
M: I have a cat, a dog, a sheep called Sydney and two goldfish.
W: Wow!
M: Yeah! And I really miss them.
W: I’m sure they’re really excited to see you.
M: Thanks a lot. I’ve got to go. See you!
