(3)Climate change is not just a change in the global temperature: it is also a change in the weather. Scientists say we can expect more extreme weather events along with some areas see more rains and flooding, while other areas will get hotter, drier and more prone to droughts and forest fires.
(3)Climate change has a broad impact on health, both through the direct effect that climate change has on extreme weather—heat waves to heavy rainfall events and associated flooding, coastal storms, hurricanes—but also indirectly, in the way that it alters disease ecology, or eco-systems that are important in maintaining a healthy environment.
(4)One example is Lyme disease, which is caused by a particular type of bacterium spread through the bite of infected blacklegged ticks, also known as deer ticks. A warming climate and changing seasonal temperatures have expanded the tick’s range.
3. Which of the following is not referred as one of the consequences of climate change?
4. What can we learn about Lyme disease from the news?
选项
A、Change in the global temperature.
B、More extreme weather events.
C、Impact on people’s health.
D、Change in the way of diseases spreading.
答案
D
解析
本题考查对新闻内容的捕捉。新闻开头和中间部分都提到气候变化会引起全球温度和天气变化,同时会对人类健康产生影响,所以A、B、C项可排除。
